JetBlue is testing a free Wi-Fi, provided on board for BlackBerry users

At week's JetBlue flight organized the first BetaBlue, Airbus A320, the first aircraft in the company, on board during the flight Wi-Fi is available.

As part of the flight from New York to San Francisco, passengers have access to free on-board Wi-Fi thanks to cooperation with Yahoo! and creator of the BlackBerry, RIM. Also, thanks to Yahoo! and RIM, the proposed number of Internet resources limited, Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Instant Messenger, and e-mail and messaging system Blackberry.

Direct access to the Internet and other services such as AOL Instant Messenger, is not allowed. IPhone is also compatible with the service.

JetBlue provides limited access to Wi-Fi only a small number of transcontinental flights, but is expected to expand (or rollback ) of the service based on consumer reaction.

Virgin America previously announced its intention to provide a more comprehensive wireless broadband in flight next year. The company cooperated with AirCell, as well as American Airlines.
